New status at the UN
The head of the regional office, Marat Mirzaevich Galimov, is registered as a United Nations consultant (UN ID: 715173).
It will cooperate with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) , the United Nations specialized agency for creativity and intellectual property, which administers key international conventions in the field of intellectual property (the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property), and with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) , an operational arm that handles projects for the UN system, international financial institutions, governments and other partners in more than 100 countries around the world.
